SF Beta is in its sixth year, it calls itself a “get-together for founders, hackers, designers, investors, visionaries, media professionals, and more.”  I like that.  Because literally, it was a collection of San Francisco startups, inventors, creators, investors and a few really cute girls -).

I had a blast and posted my review on Twitter and FB.  But the real nuts and bolts of the event are that the Bay Area’s early-stage startup and technology community event included:

Chartio
Companies need to explore, chart, and make dashboards of the data they collect in their database.  San Francisco startup Chartio makes that a breeze.

GoodData
GoodData offers the world’s most powerful Cloud BI Platform, providing their customers and partners with operational dashboards, advanced reporting and data warehousing at a fraction of the cost and complexity of other approaches.  The San Francisco startup is trusted by companies like Enterasys Networks, Capgemini and Software AG and embedded into offerings from cloud innovators like Zendesk and Pardot.

Leftronic
Leftronic
is a real-time data visualization platform for metrics-driven companies. The Leftronic dashboard app makes it trivial to quickly aggregate and monitor your key metrics in real-time! The product is entirely browser-based, and looks amazing on large screens.

Monetrix
Monetrix is a cloud-based data analytics and monitoring service built for enriching and analyzing big user data generated by mobile and web applications.

MyNextCustomer
MyNextCustomer is a simple, web-based dashboard that helps companies figure out what part of their marketing dollars are wasted. It unifies data from multiple marketing accounts, tracking calls, sales, and leads from social media, Paid Search, SEO, and offline campaigns. It also takes 5 minutes to set up.

Netvibes
Founded in 2005, Netvibes pioneered personalized start pages and universal web apps (UWA). Today, Netvibes is the leading dashboard intelligence solution that allows you to monitor, analyze and act simultaneously on real-time social media–all on one platform

.PressTrends
Trends & Analytics for WordPress.  With over 70+ million blogs and a current market share of 14% of the web, WordPress is a large platform. San Franisco startup, PressTrends taps into the platform to provide powerful insights and trends

.StepwellS
There is a missing layer that needs to connect users to their information in a simple form like dashboards do in real-life.  Stepwells provides a simple platform for anyone to create mobile dashboards in the same way that platforms like WordPress and Tumblr allow anyone to create and share a web page.

Tableau Software
Tableau Software
helps people see and understand data. Ranked by Gartner in 2011 as the world’s fastest growing business intelligence company, Tableau helps anyone quickly and easily analyze, visualize and share information.  More than 6,500 customers across most industries get rapid results with Tableau in the office and on-the-go.  Tens of thousands of people use the San Francisco startup’s solution to share data in their blogs and websites.

TellApart
Retargeting is the process of showing display ads to potential buyers who visited but abandoned their shopping activity on your e-commerce website. 95%+ of your visitors are not buying.  TellApart Transactional Retargeting helps bring them back through the use of dynamic, personalized banner ads which show your products to the right visitors.  Simply put, this San Francisco startup turns lost shoppers into return customers.

ToshL
ToshL is a San Francisco startup personal financial assistant that makes finance fun. It helps you note down your expenses, income and plan your finances with budgets. We make ToshL personal finance apps for iPhone, Android, BlackBerry, Nokia Symbian, MeeGo, Windows Phone 7. All sync to the web and help customers get their finances in shape. They’re building a system to import financial data from your bank without giving away your password and achieve global bank coverage.

I have heard of this event but never had the chance to attend, those apps and programs are so valuable to others in the community that can be so helpful. What a great review. IS this an annual event or do they hold it more often than that…

ToshL is a software that most professionals will find useful. It has loads of feature that makes finance fun. In today’s world one needs to be serious about money and ToshL does that so easily. The proposed system to get data from bank will further popularize the software.
