Smart thermostats and the Internet of Things have both become hot topics, especially in technology. Currently, many companies are spending time creating thermostat initiatives that will help cut the cost of energy, but does this approach really promote and help energy efficiency?
Even though regulating room temperatures may help, it’s the energy management system that monitors, controls, and optimizes energy performance throughout commercial and residential properties.
StratIS, an access, energy, and automation management and control system for apartments, hospitality properties, and campus communities has designed an infographic around the idea of “Smart Building Meets Smart Home”. This system provides both property owners or managers and residents control over appropriate pieces (energy, access an/or automation) via apps for each.
The system works with existing devices in the marketplace, like the Schlage Control Bluetooth door lock and GE’s line of ZWave devices.
