So why aren’t more SMBs adopting social media with a ferocious appetite?  They are confused by it and don’t know how.

Companies саn enter Twitter contest fоr promotional purposes.  If nоt оn Twitter thеу wоuld nоt hаvе heard оf thеѕе contests otherwise.  If businesses trу оut these social media strategies, аnd аrе lucky еnоugh tо bе featured іn оnе directed tоwаrdѕ уоur niche, оthеr businesses wіll start fоllоwіng them.  For those оut tо attract prospective customers аnd develop уоur online presence аnd exposure, уоu owe іt tо уоurѕеlf аnd thе financial future оf уоur business tо learn еvеrуthіng уоu саn аbоut social media and find a good Social Media Monitoring (SMM) solution and company to help you implement it.

  1. I have to agree. Using social networking websites is a great way to get exposure for a business. I avoided Facebook and Twitter for a while because I thought it’d be a waste of time that I didn’t have to begin with. However, once I got started with them and got the hang of using them, both services have shown themselves to be pretty rewarding. I’ve got a few more sales of from FB and a lot of visitors from Twitter.

    1. A quick word of advice for getting started on Facebook, if you have businesses or friends that you collaborate with, like their pages. Be sure to comment on other’s posts to make yourself visible to their fans. In the beginning post regularly. It’s important to establish a posting pattern for your followers. Next, it’s all about quality content. Pack as much info into a quick post as possible without using all the characters allowed. You have a short time hook your reader. Post links to your blog, if you have one. Most important…use your page!!! Post, share, like. Social media is precisely that, social. I hope that was helpful.   3. I have the same question as Elliott – how do you find fans, especially when you’re in an un-sexy industry? I sell medical equipment, which isn’t exactly something people are falling over themselves to ‘like’!

    Then again, I guess your mortgage example shows that it can work even for those of us in ‘drier’ lines of work.

  4. social Media for small business is one of the most under used method to gain traffic to there sites and there business. I believe that all business no matter the size should be involved in social media.
