  1. The tech content I tweet about is relevant and I go out of my way to communicate and build relationships with relevant individuals (i.e., those within my field). I’m not having much luck attracting legitimate followers though… What advice do you have for attracting relevant individuals to follow you?

    1. What you could do is study the tech-related tweeters that your targets follow.

      -What kind of content do they tweet (e.g., links to new blog posts, opinions, retweets, shares, etc.)?
      -What’s the voice (e.g., are they being informal and personable, formal and distant)?
      -Do they interact with others and in what manner?
      -How often do they post content?
      -And so on, and so on…

      I’m not saying change your style to match theirs’, but answering these questions may clue you into minor things you can modify or improve on in order to gain more followers.
